Has the President had a Scrooge Moment?

Since he had Attorney General Sessions announce a six-month process to reverse President Obama's executive order on D.A.C.A., the President has had a Scrooge Moment going from "ba humbug" on dreamers to saying last night that if Congress does not pass a law protecting them, then he may revisit the issue. Second, he sided with the Democratic Congressional Leadership on a three-month raising of the debt limit linked to hurricane relief funding. Whether this is the beginning of a bipartisan trend by the President is any ones guess. It would be nice if the great dealmaker would offer detailed proposals on stabilizing health care, tax reform that expands the middle class and infrastructure. However, for progressives and Democrats, these last eight months has been largely a nightmare. A little sunshine is a welcome change even if it is temporary. It was also especially worth it to read that the great obstructor, Mitch McConnell reportedly left today's White Hosue meeting "seething." Let's hope today's developments lead to more positive events that we can build on and move the country forward.
