"There is nothing that is wrong with America that can not be fixed with what is right with America"

"There is nothing that is wrong with America that can not be fixed with what is right with America" was an excerpt from President Bill Clinton's inaugural in 1993. It has been used in earlier posts. President Clinton was right then and the quote is appropriate now. There are solutions, some of them hard, to our nation's dilemmas be it immigration, health insurance, our national debt, trade, education, our safety net, entitlements, or infrastructure. The people need to know that mainstream progressives and conservatives have largely met in the middle on all these issues but it is the extremes in both camps that have objected time and again with different results. Whereas extreme progressives whined and largely stayed home during the Non-Obama and Bill Clinton elections over the last 26 years (1998 and 2006 being the exceptions), extreme conservatives, led by thrice-married Newt Gingrich, ultra meanies Tom Delay and Richard Armey, Mr. Ayn Rand Paul Ryan,  Obstructionist in Chief Mitch McConnell, and Huckster in Chief President Trump have obstructed and delayed every attempt at social justice and moving this country forward since the 1990's. They can not go a full year in a unified government and keep our political institutions open, They do not know how to govern. We need public servants that want to lead this country forward and constructively. At the very least, we need public servants that can work together in keeping our government open. The current Republican Leadership in the Executive or Legislative Branch does not have the capacity to that on a consistent basis. There needs to be a new team and a new direction.
