The country, thanks again to foolhardy Republican fiscal policies, is back to annual budget deficits of close to a trillion dollars a year. People need to understand that it is important to bring our federal budget under control and it can be done with prudence and targeted investments on our national priorities. This has already happened twice in the last 25 years under two DEMOCRATIC ADMINISTRATIONS. Do not believe Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility. They have not been since the Ford Administration. President Reagan, Bush II, and Trump implemented policies that have harmed the nations fiscal health. Democrats need to run on moving the country forward but in a responsible fashion. They have done it before and will do it again.
