Going Back in Time

The Trump Administration, through Stephen Bannon, Stephen Miller, and the Jeff Sessions led Justice Department is taking a trip back in time to the 1950's and earlier. Over the last several weeks, the Administration has sent more profound signals that if you are gay, nonwhite, transgender, or even a legal immigrant, that you are not welcome in their version of what the United States should be. While this appeals to the Presidents base, we who are enlightened (and sane) must make sure that we stop this insanity by coming out and voting in the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 elections. The United States is a symbol of all that can be good for humanity and this government currently represents our darker impulses. We should reflect better values than that and act as active citizens to put this "blip" in the dustpin of history.
