President Trump takes credits for economic trends he once called phony.

"It's good to be the King!"

That immortal phrase from Mel Brook's "The History of the World Part One" may be indicative of the attitude President Trump has towards the positive economic numbers like the July jobs report. The one problem is these trends started long before Donald Trump became president during the Obama Administration when the then candidate Trump called similar reports "phony." Clearly, you can not have it both ways. You can make a case that the stock market may be surging a little more because of deregulation, but other than that, this White House is still largely riding the Obama Economy. You think the President will say that at his next rally in West Virgina.
