Idea of the Week: A repeat: Calling for term limits and a total wall separating all public servants from lobbyists

This weeks Idea of the Week is a repeat of an earlier posting.

We need term limits for all our public servants from the local dog catcher to the highest office in the land (where term limits already exist). These should include staffers and aides as well.

We also need to erect a legal wall that makes it a crime for public servants to take any kind of "gift" from any kind of lobbyist.

Ask yourself, would we have gun control if it was not for lobbyists?

Ask yourself, would we have universal healthcare if it was not for lobbyists?

Ask yourself, would we have cheaper college tuition at universities if it was not for lobbyists.

AMERICA IS NOT FOR SALE. Public Servants should serve the public, not the lobbyists who pretend to serve them as well through Corporate boardrooms.

It is time to change how our political campaign system functions.
