Did Arizona Governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey fall into the same trap that Kansas Governor Sam Brownback did in Kansas when, after taking their marching orders from the Koch Brothers, they instituted budget busting tax cuts that were supposed to pay for themselves by stimulating the state economy? Economic prosperity did not happen in Kansas and it does not look like it will happen in Arizona. Let us hope the Arizona Governor and legislators get their heads out of the sand fast enough to correct their mistake. If tax cuts were the answer to economic prosperity, states like California and Minnesota would be in the economic doldrums after raising taxes whereas they are doing well right now. It is better to follow sound economic principles rather than Koch sponsored pipe dreams.
