Leaks about the Presidents 2018 budget proposals show they have not moderated their positions based on the 2017 numbers they proposed in January/February. Budgets reflect what the administration views as important priorities. Apparently, slashing investments in alternative energy, public schools, and aid to the poor in favor of tax cuts for the rich and pumping money in dying industries like coal is the new normal for The President's team. It is not a forward-looking budget that looks to build for a better tomorrow. It is not even conservative because it does not even attempt to balance the budget. It is reactionary that aims to go back to a time that is not coming back. People need to look forward, not backward.
