How the mighty seem to have fallen.

Only thorough and competent investigations will reveal if these scandals have merit.
Governor Andrew Cuomo appears to have fallen off his Pedestal
Remember when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was the media and political darling of the Democratic Political World for his handling of the COVID 19 Pandemic in New York.
His briefings, unlike the Trump-led ones, were filled with science-based facts and demonstrated competent stewardship of the Empire state.
Some even wanted him to somehow replace Joe Biden as the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nominee.
Those days are gone as the Governor faces controversies for his alleged coverups of nursing home coronavirus fatality numbers and accusations (from a growing number of women) of sexual harassment.
Investigations have started on both the nursing home and harassment controversies.
State Republicans, who did not mind Trump's incompetence, lies, and inappropriate behavior toward women, want to prepare impeachment documents.
Some State Democrats, including the Legislative Senate Leader, have called for Cuomo to resign.
Mr. Cuomo has stated he will not resign.
If either the nursing home cover-up and sexual harassment accusations are found, after thorough investigations, to have merit, he should.
The leaders at the Lincoln Project have been Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment.
Cuomo is not the only hero of 2020 that has fallen from exalted status.
The Lincoln Project, a group of ex Republicans, worried about the political plague that is Donald Trump, formed in 2020 and produced quality digital ads that expertly appealed to suburban demographic areas and Independent groups disenchanted with the direction of the country.
This writer described many of the high-quality effective ads in numerous articles during and after the 2020 campaign season.
Senior members (like MSNBC commentator Steve Schmidt) of the Lincoln Project have come under scrutiny for how they allocated their funds (several million dollars) to their leaders and more importantly, their covering up their knowledge of one of their founding members (John Weaver) of propositioning and harassing at least 21 young boys, some of whom were under 18.

The leadership of the Lincoln Project has dismissed Weaver and is in the process of reorganizing.
They are going to have to do a lot of repairing bridges and leadership changes to restore the people's confidence in their products if investigations find they willingly covered up Weaver's criminal acts.
Moving Forward
People should beware of hypocritical Republican attempts to use the accusations against Cuomo and the Lincoln Project to try and score political points. Already, these hypocrites, the ones who said nothing about Trump's mismanagement and destruction of the country, are trying to insinuate that the Governors of New Jersey (Phil Murphy) and Michigan (Gretchen Whitmer) committed the same nursing home coverups as Cuomo.
Bull Fecal Matter.
Andrew Cuomo and the leaders of the Lincoln Project are not the first examples of individuals in history put up on a pedestal for good acts that have been accused of having dark side tendencies.
Unfortunately, they will probably not be the last.
Despite the media attention on the accusations against Cuomo and the Lincoln Project, the people must let the investigative process unfold.
Remember everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
News headlines and media interviews do not prove guilt.
Thorough and competent investigations and due process do.
Let the investigations proceed and see what is found.
