Republican Iowan House Representative Stephen King (do not confuse with the renowned writer) is an embarrassment to our country by saying while praising a Dutch racist xenophobe that "We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies." When confronted with this comment on CNN, he defended it while saying that Western Civilization in this country must be preserved. While most people who were asked (Democrats and Republicans) condemned these remarks, Representative King did draw praise from high moral and character individuals like David Duke (the former KKK leader who thought Donald Trump would be good for our country).
The Republican Party need to censure Representative King for his comments in the well of the House. Senator Trent Lott in 2003 lost his majority leader position for racially charged comments that may have been a little milder while celebrating Senator Strom Thurmond's birthday. The members of his district need to select a new representative to advocate for their interests. This country is about freedom, equality, and fair treatment/opportunities for everyone, not just Caucasians. He should go away and vanish from the public view.
Please read the Forbes article below on immigrant children that have excelled in the sciences in our nation's high school. Take that Representative King.
