This Sunday, France will be conducting a runoff between the two leading contenders for the French Presidency, centrist Emmanuel Macron and right wing extremist disguised as Populist Marie Le Pen. While Macron is not the ideal "progressive" type, his technocratic right of center approach is far more preferable to the alt-right nationalist platform of Le Pen. Hopefully, the majority of the French people agree. It is not like they have an electoral college that will get in the way.
