Very interesting editorial from the Governor of Montana, Steve Bullock who has been mentioned in some circles as a contender for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2020. A lot of the themes he writes about have been mentioned before on this blog and other progressive sites. Democrats need to reach out to the people who think the Democrats have abandoned them. While this is probably not true in most cases (Hillary Clinton did get a bad wrap here. Her sin was taking them for granted. It was not about not caring about them), Democrats do need to reconnect with these groups. If they are sincere and propose policies people can support, the road will not be treacherous.
