There are some questions on what insurers will consider pre existing conditions if by some stretch of alternative reality the House Version of the American Health Care Act is adopted. Some of these revolve around whether pregnancy or diseases resulting from sexual assault will be considered pre existing conditions. In that light, the Senate Republican Leadership, showing their skills at paying attention to cosmetics, have not selected one woman from their Senate Ranks to serve on the committee to write the Senate version of the Obamacare replacement. While one should consider why the Republican Senate did not already have a plan ready after objecting to the Affordable Care Act for several years, this is a master stroke of public relations and probably policy incompetence that should be corrected. Are these chauvinists saying a person like Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Shelly Capito, Joni Ernst, or Deb Fischer has no perspective to offer in serving on this committee. We need leaders who are living for the Twenty First Century, not the Nineteenth.
