Citing a recent study/model from Columbia University that indicated that 36,000 people may have been saved had the Trump Administration acted a week earlier in instituting social distancing and stay at home guidelines/recommendations to the country, the Biden Campaign released a virtual ad, blasting the Trump Administrations contention that it acted early and well to meet the challenges of the public health emergency.
Please click the below link to see the whole video.
The ad starts with a news commentator showing on a graph of how almost a third of the 95,000 deaths in this country could have been prevented if social distancing had started a week earlier.
The ad then pivots to Mr. Trump saying:
- “We’re doing a good job.”
- “We acted very early.”
- “People are amazed how early I acted.”
- “We have it totally under control.”
- “Well nothing” when asked what he would have done differently.
The country needs a leader that will listen to the scientific and medical experts and is humble enough to course correct for the good of the country when he or she realizes mistakes were made.
The Biden team, in this ad, effectively shows Donald Trump is not that type of leader and a change is needed.
