The Mad King Hates Barack Obama more than He Cares for the Health of the American People

Despite a pandemic and public health emergency, the Trump Administration, disregarding the advice of its Attorney General and Republican officeholders like Senator Lamar Alexander, is intent on pursuing the destruction of Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) at the United States Supreme Court.
Speaking last week, the 2016 Popular Vote Loser commented:
“Obamacare is a disaster, but we’ve run it very well, and we’ve made it barely acceptable … What we want to do is terminate it and give health care. We’ll have great health care, including preexisting conditions.”
The President of Betrayal wants the health care for millions of Americans to go disappear, again during a pandemic where two thousand people are currently dying every day, with no replacement insurance plan in place.
People need to remember that the Stable Genius has had over three years to come up with a health care plan that he said would be better and cheaper.
He has also had over three years to launch an infrastructure program and get Mexico to pay for the wall.
What has been doing during all that Executive Time?
The case brought on by states headed by the reactionary fringe (including Arizona) bases their argument that the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional because the Republicans, in their attempt to neuter the health care law, reduced the individual penalty mandate to zero.
That could be easily remedied by the election of a Democratic President and Democratic Congress. Just raise the penalty to a penny and the law should nullify the constitutionality argument of the Trump Zone, Fox Island, and Dis Infowar fringe residents.
Democrats in Arizona have spoken out against this continued push to take away the health insurance of millions of people without providing a replacement.
Ann Kirkpatrick, the Arizona House Representative from Congressional District Two, commented in a piece written by Ronald Hansen at AZ Central that:
“The idea of taking away people’s health insurance and protections during a global pandemic is both counterproductive and cruel. We must demand better from our leaders.”
Congressional District Seven Representative Ruben Gallego was also quoted in the AZ Central piece, saying:
“Remember this in November. While the American people were facing an unprecedented public health and economic public health crisis, the Trump administration was attacking our health coverage in our courts. Instead of fighting to make our communities and families safer and healthier during this challenging moment, President Trump is playing politics.”
District Nine House Representative Greg Stanton, in the same article, offered:
“We are safer and healthier because of it and if this pandemic has shown us anything, it is that we must work to make sure health care is a right for all Americans. I stand with Vice President Biden and Americans across the country to condemn President Trump’s heartless and shortsighted attacks on the Affordable Care Act in the Supreme Court,”
Democratic Candidates running to replace Republican Opponents have also expressed their views on Trump’s obsession with doing away with Obamacare.

Captain Mark Kelly, running to replace Martha McSally in the United States Senate issued two press releases regarding Obamacare over the last two weeks.
The first called for the Trump Administration to reopen the Health Marketplaces. On April 28, Captain Kelly stated:
“Hundreds of thousands of Arizonans are now facing economic uncertainty and, for many of them, the added stress of losing their employer-provided health coverage during a pandemic. We’re already seeing unemployed Arizonans and business owners running into red tape trying to get access to the relief intended for them, and there is no reason they should have the same issues with getting health coverage. The federal government should reopen the health care exchange so Arizonans can go online, get coverage quickly, and get the care they need right now without the fear of being bankrupted.”
The second statement, issued on May 5, 2020, dealt with commenting on what would have happened had Congress successfully repealed the health care law three years ago.
“If Congress had succeeded in gutting our health care system three years ago, there would be fewer Arizonans with health insurance, fewer options for those who didn’t have it to get coverage, and fewer protections for older Arizonans and those with pre-existing conditions, We’re seeing during this pandemic how important it is that all Arizonans can afford to get the care they need. Republicans and Democrats have to be able to work with one another to protect what’s working with our health care system, and fix what isn’t.”
Joan Greene, the 2018 Congressional District Five Democratic Nominee and 2020 Candidate against Freedom Circ…Caucus Leader Andy Biggs wrote:
“Typical Trump and the GOP. Destroying instead of strengthening. What do they think is going to happen if there is no affordable health care?
Our Country is being run by the inept, amoral and cruel GOP who are only concerned with how fast and how much they can line their pockets with self-dealing. We must elect forward-thinking leaders who will work on behalf of the best interest of the Nation.”
Posting on Facebook on May 6, Congressional District Six Democratic Candidate (and 2018 District Eight Nominee) Dr. Hiral Tipirneni relayed:
“As a global pandemic takes tens of thousands of American lives, Republicans like @RepDavid are STILL trying to take healthcare away from Americans.
Now, more than ever, we must fight to ensure every American has quality, affordable healthcare. It is literally life or death.”
Michael Muscato, a candidate to go against Fox Island Resident Debbie Lesko in Congressional District Eight stated:
“80,000 American lives have been lost. 33 million American workers filed for employment – many of whom didn’t have health insurance and those who did, just lost their coverage. So what does the current administration do? They seek to cut the only remaining protections for those with pre-existing conditions and promote prescription drugs that are not only ineffective against Covid-19 but also pose lethal side effects. What we are witnessing happen is nothing shy of an attack on Americans healthcare in the middle of a historic pandemic. Why now? Because millions of us are too busy scrambling to pay for the roof over our head and the food on our tables. Remember that old saying “character is what someone does when they think nobody is looking.”
“The issues with our healthcare system are not partisan, yet our representation is. I believe the job of a representative is to represent their district, not their political party or party leadership. Neither cancer nor Covid-19 discriminates between Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. We are all healthy until we are not. The greatest nation in the world shouldn’t force millions into bankruptcy over medical bills. Regardless of political party Americans, all want better and more affordable coverage, reduced costs on prescription medications, and protections for pre-existing conditions. Americans want the same kind of coverage that Congress receives from our hard-earned taxpayer money. We can do that by building off the good in the ACA and focusing on the many areas that were compromised a decade ago in order to move things forward.”
“What’s my opponent’s plan – it’s Trumps: they have no plan other than to blame Obama and claim socialism. That’s not a plan. I’ll do the job she won’t. “
One of the other Democratic Candidates for Congressional District Eight, Bob Musselwhite relayed:
“Attempts to shut down the Affordable Care Act before there is a viable replacement is in itself irresponsible and callous.  Attempts to shut down the Affordable Care Act in the middle of a pandemic with such high unemployment is an injury to humanity and clearly demonstrates how far separated this administration is from the rank and file people who populate this nation.”
Moving forward, it is vital that Americans keep the health care they have as the people endeavor to make it through the Coronavirus public health emergency and afterward.
The Mad King has clearly demonstrated that his hate for Barack Obama (including his public declarations, without any proof, that his predecessor is a criminal) matters more to him than safeguarding the health of the American People.
The American People can do better.
