New Ad shows Biden’s Good and Informed Judgment compared to Trump’s

Last week, AZ Blue Meanie released an article about the Biden campaign ad called Timeline which, as a concise Frontline Documentary, showed how Donald Trump praised China and how he and some of his team (including Larry Kudlow and Alex Azar) lied about how they had the virus “under control” and downplayed the severity of the public health emergency.

Please see the Timeline video in the link below.
On May 14, in response to Trumpist attacks that Biden is an appeaser of China, the former Vice President’s team released a video ad on Twitter (please click on it in the link below) that is a refined version of an earlier April ad called Unprepared.
The new ad immediately reminds the viewer that over 80,000 people have died from the Coronavirus and 36 million of the American People are out of work.
It then comments that “Donald Trump can’t run on his record so he’s running negative ads attacking Joe Biden.”
It then did a real-time fact check of the former Vice President showing prudence and sound judgment in his initial reaction to the Coronavirus.
It shows his (Biden’s) warning about the dangers of the pandemic on January 27, 2020, and calling for an American presence in China to investigate the virus on February 25, 2020, while Trump, at the same time, was not taking the pandemic seriously as it was starting to fester in this country and also praising China’s handling of COVID 19 15 times in the first two months of the year, commending them for their “efforts and transparency.”
The ad concludes by pointing out:
  • “Trump never got a CDC team on the ground in China.”
  • “Nearly 40 nations took action to restrict travel from China before Trump did.”
  • And Trump’s ban was weaker than some countries (40,000 were allowed to fly in after the ban.)
  • “Donald Trump: he failed to protect the country once. Why would we ever trust him again?”
With these ads, the Biden team has clearly learned the lesson of the best defense is a good offense and the need to punch back and do it often.
People always like their candidates to be fighters, especially when they are right on the facts.
This is what Democratic and Progressive leaning voters are looking for when they turn out to the polls this November.
