Maintaining Power by skewing the census numbers

The leader of the United States Census Bureau left office six months prior to the end of his term. That is not especially Earth shattering. What is worrying is maintaining or reducing the funding levels for the Census Bureau as it starts to prepare for its ten-year census. Politically, accurate censuses are essential to determining how congressional districts (electoral college votes) are allocated. It would be problematic for Trump supporters if they start losing congressional or electoral clout in states like Pennsylvania or Michigan and saw Democratic strength increasing in Arizona, New Mexico, or Colorado. Just something to think about moving forward. This is something to keep an eye on. The Democrats were remiss about this in 2010 and it has dearly cost them.
