Donald Trump is the Coronavirus of American Politics

Donald Trump, the Mad King and Liar in Chief, just will not shut up and let the experts run the fight to stem the spread of the Coronavirus.
His arrogance, ineptitude, and ignorance have cost the country precious weeks in the prevention and treatment of the virus.
Lives may have been lost because of his “leadership.”
Numerous accounts have been written on the Blog for Arizona and other news media of how this “Stable Genius” has squandered time in combatting the public health emergency either through minimizing the threat of the virus or not having the right stakeholders advising him (Jared Kushner, please,) blaming Governors for not doing enough (including Illinois’s J.B. Pritzker on Sunday,) bragging about his ratings and poll numbers (they have started to go down,) or talking about miracle drugs that do not exist.
The Liar in Chief spent part of the last two days touting the potential benefits of an anti-malaria drug called hydroxychloroquine. While experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci have expressed skepticism that the drug is a cure-all for every patient with the Coronavirus (the side effects include death for those who should not take it,) that has not stopped Trumpists like United States Trade Representative Peter Navarro (who reminded everyone that he is a “social scientist,”) and former New York Mayor and current conspiracy instigator Rudy Giuliani from persuading the President to tell the American People to take the drug, saying “what have you got to lose (your life)?”
When Jeremy Diamond of CNN attempted to ask Dr. Fauci about the wisdom in using hydroxychloroquine, Trump stopped a smiling Fauci from answering the question.
If the 2016 Popular Vote Loser was so confident that Fauci would agree with him, why did he not let him speak for himself which he has in non-White House settings?
Donald Trump is still failing Mother Nature’s IQ Test and is potentially endangering lives with his denial war on Science.
It is not just him.
Some of his like-minded disciples from the Trump Zone and Fox Island have also had a hand in potentially making this public health emergency worse.

There are still eight Governors in this country (All Republicans) who have resisted the call to issue Stay at Home Orders for their residents.
One of them, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, said:
“The people themselves are primarily responsible for their safety” and cited her state’s (and the national) constitution from “preventing us from taking draconian measures much like the Chinese government has done.”
Another of the eight, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds criticized Fauci for publicly wondering why all the states had not yet issued a Stay at Home order, stating:
“I would say that maybe he doesn’t have all the information. You can’t just look at a map and assume no action has been taken.”
Another Trump Zone and Fox Island Resident, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (the one who said last week that he did not know people who did not show symptoms could carry the virus despite living in the same area code as the CDC) relaxed his Stay at Home order and allowed the beaches to reopen.
That caused a protest from some of the local leaders like Tyee Island’s Mayor who does not want to create an opportunity for the virus to spread in a location without social distancing.
Wisconsin Republicans are banking on low turnout in tomorrow’s primary to advance their fringe candidates and have resisted calls to allow increased mail-in balloting access. They have even sent an emergency petition to the Supreme Court to halt the few allowances that lower courts have provided.
What bastards.
Donald Trump and his like-minded Trump Zone and Fox Island Residents who have the misfortune of leading statehouses across the nation are the Coronaviruses of American Politics.

They and their reluctance to believe in the science and the seriousness of the disease have made them worse than the virus.
The people in this country can do better than them and in 211 days, they can take the first step in sending the head of this science-denying stupid tank back to Mara Largo by voting him out.
