The People and Democracy Beat the Fringe Reactionary Interests in Wisconsin

Last week, cynical reactionary Republican politicians and operatives were willing to risk people’s lives by fighting to not postpone the Wisconsin Primary on April 7, 2020, as the Democratic Governor, Tony Evers, wanted.
This move, designed to help Daniel Kelly, a conservative State Supreme Court Justice, win reelection, by those on the fringe right, has backfired.
The Democratic candidate, Jill Karofsky, is projected by the Associated Press to be the winner in the race.
How did this happen?
The receipt of an amazing 1.1 million mail-in ballots more than made up for the low in-person turnout in cities like Green Bay and Milwaukee.
Ben Wikler, the Chairperson of the Wisconsin Democratic Party stated:
“Tonight, not just Jill Zarofsky but democracy prevailed over a politically cynical strategy to weaponize the coronavirus pandemic as a tool of voter suppression.”
The People of Wisconsin showed the power of Democracy and the right to vote in beating the fringe reactionary interests and life-threatening plans of the Republican Party.
In the months ahead, the people will remember how Wisconsin and National leaders in the Republican Party willingly risked people’s lives just to win a political office.
They will also remember the ruling from a United States Supreme Court Conservative Majority that allowed it.
People will also remember that they have the power to move the country forward and for the better.
That is Donald Trump’s, Mitch McConnell’s, Kevin McCarthy’s, Doug Ducey’s, Russell Bower’s, Karen Fann’s, Martha McSally’s and mostly every other Republicans’ worst nightmare in Arizona and across the country.
It is important to turn out and vote this November.
Please remember to register/sign up for the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL)in Arizona or any state that allows early or absentee balloting and mail in your vote by November 3, 2020.
It is only 204 days away.
