As previous posts have indicated, the Trump Administration has stacked some new department heads with individuals whose past careers were dedicated to criticizing the agencies they now lead. Scott Pruitt at the Environmental Protection Agency is one such example. People who are committed to a clean environment need to protest and launch legal battles against the actions of the new head and his new staff who share the same (to put it charitably) less sense of urgency about climate change than most (over 95 percent) of the people who have expertise in the area.
Remember that the country faced a similar dilemma with the Reagan Administration and its aversion to all things clean and non-oil (remember trees emit smog and let's take down the solar panels from the White House roof). We perseverance and drive, we will get through the Trump Administration with little long term damage.
