Interesting article in the New York Times below. It shows that the motto of the Republican Healthcare Plan (Trumpcare) is the richer you are, the better off you are. The more you make, the better the financial benefit up to a point. That is not what government and public policy are supposed to be about. It is about creating opportunities and safety nets for people to rise and lead productive lives for themselves, their families, and society. It is not about giving the rich a handout. The rich do not need handouts or tax cuts. They are doing just fine. The government is about helping those in need, not those in abundance.
