Senator Mark Warner was on Fareed Zakaria GPS yesterday (video link below) and offered comments on a variety of issues. One of the points he raised (and he has been raising it for some time) was the need for a new social contract between the people and the government. Warner correctly pointed out, in a Montesquieu sort of way, that the social contract that worked in the 20th Century may not work for the governing, economic, and living conditions of the Twenty First. If Senator Warner decides to run for the 2020 Democratic Nomination, he may have found a message that resonates with voters.
