A very revealing article in today's New York Times dispelling the myth that Republicans (most recently by John McCain on yesterday's Face the Nation) have perpetrated that Democrats rammed the Affordable Health Care Act through the Congress in secret. What these charts in the article confirm is a process that had open hearings, options to offer amendments, and serious attempts at bipartisan compromise. The current Congressional leadership may do well to learn from this example as they are the ones looking to ram something through and pull a con on the American People.
