Addendum to yesterdays Idea of the Week: Read other viewpoints as well. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

It is important that when people read up on the ideas of progressives so they read up on the ideas of other groups ranging from conservatives to the alt-right to the ultra-liberal. There are a couple of reasons to do this. One, there may actually be conservative ideas that merit consideration. Another reason is so people can know what ideas to distance themselves from. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. To not know what the views of people and groups with other perspectives are is just as problematic as not knowing what your own side represents.
