The Environmental Protection Agency. led by people who do not believe in protecting the environment, have put the kibosh on their scientists speaking about the dangers of climate change at a conference in Rhode Island. Despite these leaders intentions, you can not shut up truth. The Catholic Church tried to hush up the theories of the Scientific Revolution. Leading scientists like Galieo were imprisoned while other intellectuals like Giordano Bruno were burned at the stake. Despite that, the Church could not silence the truth. Over the last 150 years, religious zealots have continually protested the teaching of evolution. That topic is a mainstream topic in public schools today. The reactionaries at the E.P.A. may think they can deny the existence of climate change but the genie is out and they can not silence that fact. Telling scientists they can not speak at conferences will not silence the chorus that will continue to sing on the perils of continuing policies that are endangering our planet.
