Democrats should use all the persuasive and legislative powers at their disposal to make sure none of the fringe judges appointed by the President do not get confirmed by the Senate. Where Republicans were obstructionist to stop mainstream and liberal judges from sitting on the bench, Democrats need to return the favor. Let us hope moderate Senators on the Republican aisle will also balk at confirming homophobic judges and others that would turn the clock back on civil rights and the social gains of the last 50 years.
