Are we an oligarchy yet?

Are we an oligarchy yet.

In our current government, we have

1) A President who still refuses to publicly release his taxes, evading the issue by saying he is under audit, yet he does not produce the audit letter.

2) A President who congratulates the leader of Turkey for winning an election referendum that takes bites out of the democratic process and where accusations of vote rigging have not been answered yet.

3) A President whose daughter's businesses are getting trademark concessions from the Peoples Republic of China

4) A President who is coming close to spending more money on secret service protection at his Golf Resort in Florida than in his predecessor's whole eight-year presidency.

5) A Gerrymandered House system where the majority do not get their voices heard.

We live in a country where the majority of the people voted for Democrats as a whole for Congress.

We live in a country where the majority of the people did not vote for the President and the popular vote winner bested him by close to three million votes.

There are important elections these next three years. The people need to be aware and take part in the political process or we may wake up one day wishing we were in an oligarchy.
