The United States Senate, with only Republican votes, passed a budget resolution that takes the country backward, not forward. It is not a budget that invests in our countries needs but paves the way for tax cuts that will not have any long-term positive effect for our nation. This is another reason why we need Progressives and Democrats to regain the levers of power and pull our country back from the path of short-sightedness and reactionism.
