Doris Kearns Goodwin Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream and Robert Caro's current four-volume Path to Power series on the 36th President which delves into the progressive convictions, goals, and achievements on a progressive public policy level that has not been seen since the Johnson/Humphrey Administration.
It is the hope that these works along with the biography of Hubert Humphrey that was recommended last week will inspire this generations progressives.
