The Trump Administration may be a more Old Testament leaning Presidency. An eye for an eye, vengeance is mine and so forth.
Interesting article from the New York Times below on how Southern Christians, many of whom voted for President Trump, are wondering how persecuting minorities, excluding refugees running from danger, and denying vital resources to those in need is Christian. That is a good question and the answer is it is not. We are better as a people when we comfort the afflicted, shelter the homeless, and care for the needy. Those are the true meanings of the Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We would be better as a nation if we as a whole remember that.
