Please join us on October 19th (from 5-7 pm)! with our partner C.A.S.E. to support airport workers who are being subjected to inhumane working conditions right here in Phoenix.
You might ask why we should partner with (and care about) labor unions? Labor unions represent working class people…those people we stand with on issues like healthcare, public education and all human rights. Labor unions receive dues from these workers and in turn, give support to political action on the issues that we care about. Money from big corporations and wealthy donors wield so much power, effectively silencing rights of middle class, and widening the economic gap between the haves and the have nots. We hope you'll join us for this important action to stand with working people and show our solidarity for their cause for respect and safe working conditions.
This national Day of Action will mobilize more than 20,000 members in 20 cities across North America. Let's help show that standing together in a union is the best way to create an economy that works for everyone, not just the 1%."
Let's Carpool! By SHARING A RIDE, we can split the parking fee at the airport. To carpool, meet us at the Parking Lot on the SW corner of 32nd St & Bell (the center with Starbucks and LA Fitness). We'll gather behind Starbucks at 4:10 pm, and leave promptly at 4:15 for the Airport. We'll park in the Terminal 4 Parking lot. Zone A is the closest to the North Curb, Door 1 at the Baggage Claim/Arrival area where we will meet.
