Obamacare Lives: Senators Murray and Alexander have struck a deal on stabilizing the Affordable Care Act

The President was already taking credit for this yesterday but anyone paying attention to these matters knew that Senators Murray and Alexander had been negotiating a bipartisan deal to stabilize the Obamacare markets. The President, knowing the deal was probably imminent, probably cut off the subsidies on Friday to make it look like he was responsible for both sides to come together.

This is a good development as this measure will stabilize the markets and kick the can down the road where all sides will probably try to massage their differences, preserve the status quo, and say they have saved the system. No one sane is interested in tanking one sixth of the economy. Hopefully, the majority of the members of Congress are sane and the President can be kept away from talking to the likes of Steve Bannon and Sean Hannity long enough to sign it.
