In another sign that the 2020 Election appears favorable to the Biden/Harris ticket, a new round of endorsements and poll results (especially in the battleground states) materialized over the last week.
In the endorsement realm, the Biden/Harris team received the support of more Republicans disenchanted with the current Trump Administration. These included former governors like New Jersey's Christine Todd Whitman, Massachusetts Bill Weld, and Michigan's Rick Synder.
The campaign also received the blessings of 81 Nobel Laureates in Physics, Chemistry, and Medicine. With Donald Trump contending that windmills cause cancer, climate change is a hoax, and the Coronavirus will go away, people should not be surprised with this show of support toward the team that professes science over science fiction.
The last batch of endorsements has come from law enforcement with a bipartisan group of 175 current and former public servants in the field publicly supporting the Biden/Harris Campaign with one former police chief, Madison Wisconsin's Noble Wray calling Mr. Trump "lawless."
These slew of endorsements, along with the results of a Military Times Poll that showed Biden with a lead of four points over Trump and the release of earlier pledges of support from 70 former Republican Congressmen and National Security specialists, signal an uphill climb for the current Administration.
This uphill climb will probably become steeper with the national security and military establishment after the revelations, reported by Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic that the President of Betrayal has routinely labeled people who choose to serve in the military as "suckers" and "losers."
The Polls, at least for now, show that the public prefers the former Vice President to what they have been getting for close to four years.
Polls collected by Real Clear Politics shows the Biden/Harris Campaign leading in most recent samples.
Perhaps the most telling results are from Fox News which show Biden currently leading Trump in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Fox News also has Mark Kelly crushing Martha McSally by 17 points.
There is even a poll out of Texas which shows Biden leading there.
If these polls are accurate (especially if Biden continues to lead in Texas,) and hold, a Democratic Tsumani is definitely coming across the country and at all levels of government.
That said, it is extremely important that people remain engaged and do not take this election for granted. Do not get complacent. This race has and will tighten. Expect anything from the Trump Campaign which has proven they will engage in any form of deception or trickery to prevail.
It is also vital that the Biden/Harris Campaign and all Democratic candidates reach out to every region (rural, suburban, and urban) and all demographic groups. No one should be left out.
Remember 2016 Popular Vote Winner Hillary Clinton led in the endorsement game and in the polls and is currently living in retirement in New York.
As Yogi Berra famously said, "It ain't over until it's over."
